Strengths of Twitter

·         The ability to promote and test new products
·         To organise and create events online
·         Retweeting is great as people outside your normal customer base, can see your promotional messages.
Weaknesses of Twitter
·         You may not be able to get you point across as you only have 140 characters to work with
·         Competitors can research your company by following you
·         If you open an account on Twitter and don’t use it, Twitter will close the account


Strengths of Facebook
·         It’s able to create Brand awareness
·         Instant customer feed back
·         The ability to recruit staff
·         To gather personal information about its users, so business can target advertising to specific users by Age, Location, and Certain Interests etc…
Weakness of Facebook
·         People taking other peoples identity, also known as “Catfish”
·         Cyber Bulling is a huge problem at the moment among students in schools and in the work place
·         Employers can look at your profile, to find out more about you and this could lead to you not getting the job.    
   
Strengths of LinkedIn
·         Membership is free and you can create a profile about yourself, work experience and your qualifications
·         You can build up a network of contacts in the area that you’re interested in 
·         You can get expert advice from other business people
·         Great for recruiting staff
Weakness of LinkedIn
·         The main weakness of LinkedIn is that it can be slow to make connections in the area that you would like. It won’t happen overnight. It could take anything from a few weeks or months depending on the area that you are interested in and how often you use LinkedIn.


Strengths of Youtube
·         Its free to create an account
·         You can share videos amongst friends
·         Business can promote and advertise their products 
·         Business can get instant feedback after they promote their product
Weakness of Youtube
·         Youtube have no control of what types of videos are uploaded and created people

·         Youtube also puts a limit on lengths of videos and sometimes possibly even quality.
